Position Title Administrative Specialist II (Part-Time)
Position Summary

Summary: Handles complex registration processes for the three departments of ODCP, including review of student transcripts of noncredit academic courses, registration for personal and professional courses and certifications, and the Camp College multi-step registration process with verification of required documents. Registration process includes acceptance of payment in forms of cash, check and or credit cards, application of payment in College enterprise system, daily reconciliation of all transactions including preparation of bank bags for deposit. Additional duties include maintenance of databases and preparation of student requested documents.
Registration Tasks – Answers telephone to provide information, register students, accepts and processes payments and refunds for registered students, Verifies and submits bank bags of shifts receipts,take messages, or transfer calls; registers and drops students from noncredit courses; maintains students’ grades and attendance reports and other school records; maintains database files for sponsorships, gift certificates and refunds.
Support Tasks – Greets and directs visitors to their destinations; talks with students encountering problems and resolves problems or directs students to appropriate areas; assists with marketing projects; assists instructors with computer labs, rooms, supplies, copies and AV equipment.
Computer Tasks – Uses MS Office, Word, Excel, Access and college’s enterprise system Colleague to complete assigned tasks;exhibits clear understanding of internal software program;work schedule, which will include evenings, Saturdays and weekday hours.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; 2 years of Customer Service experience; touch-type ability, Familiarity with Microsoft programs, especially Outlook,Word, Excel and Access

Able to sit for extended periods of time, must be able to answer phones, often using headsets, and respond.
